Three simple ways to feel a little better.

Feeling a bit off or low at times is something everyone experiences. The good news is that small, simple actions can help you feel a little better each day. These changes don’t require big efforts or drastic lifestyle shifts. Instead, they focus on easy habits that boost your mood, energy, and overall well-being.

  1. Start Your day with a resource


How you begin your morning can set the tone for the rest of the day. Instead of rushing or scrolling through your phone, try to create a simple routine that gives you a sense of accomplishment. This could be:


  • Making your bed right after you get up

  • Drinking a glass of water to hydrate

  • Writing down one thing you’re grateful for


These small resource build momentum and help you feel more in control. When you start with something positive, it’s easier to keep that feeling going. And try to have you phone turned off.


  1. Move your body in a way You enjoy


Exercise doesn’t have to mean intense workouts or long gym sessions. Moving your body releases endorphins, which improve mood and reduce stress. Find a type of movement that feels good to you, such as:


  • Taking a 10-minute walk outside

  • Stretching gently in the morning and/or before bed

  • Dancing to your favorite song - remember ful dansa?


Even a little movement can lift your spirits and increase your energy. The key is consistency and enjoyment, not intensity.


  1. Connect with nature whenever possible


Spending time outdoors has proven benefits for mental health. Fresh air, sunlight, and natural surroundings can reduce anxiety and improve focus. You don’t need to go far or spend hours outside. Try these ideas:


  • Sit in a park or garden for a few minutes

  • Open a window to let in fresh air and sunlight

  • Notice the colors, sounds, and smells around you


Nature helps ground you and offers a break from screens and daily stressors.
